IC card public telephones were discontinued at the end of March 2006.
We will exchange your IC telephone card for a magnetic telephone card having an equivalent number of call units remaining on the IC telephone card, regardless of it being unused or in-use.
As your IC telephone card will only be exchanged during a designated period, you are advised to make an exchange as early as you can.
“IC” logo is seen on the front and an “expiration date” is printed on the back of every IC telephone card. Also, its corner can be snapped off as shown below.

The valid exchange period is five years from the day following the expiration date.

Your IC telephone cards will be exchanged for magnetic telephone cards having an equivalent number of call units remaining on the IC telephone cards.
We charge 100 yen (tax-free) per card as an exchange handling fee.
Applications for exchange can be made via postal mail. If you apply via mail, please send your IC telephone cards together with the completed application form to Telephone Card Exchange Center.
