Expansion of Service Availability (NTT East)


FLET'SADSL

At present (end of August 2001) service is available to 211 cities in the NTT East service area, covering approximately 75 percent of customers. By the end of December, it is planned to expand service further to all 303 officially designated cities, covering around 85 percent of the customer base.
Expansion will continue after that, with the goal of achieving 90 percent coverage by the end of this fiscal year (March 31, 2002).
The specific schedule for FLET'SADSL availability in each locality will be announced on the company Web site and elsewhere.

* Note that service may be unavailable in certain parts even of the service provision areas depending on the switching and other facilities serving those areas.

The coverage rates given above are based on the number of fixed telephone installations.


FLET'SISDN

At present (end of August 2001) service is available to 262 cities in the NTT East service area, covering approximately 80 percent of customers. By the end of September, it is planned to expand service further to all 303 officially designated cities, covering around 85 percent of the customer base.
Expansion will continue after that, with the goal of achieving 95 percent coverage by the end of this fiscal year (March 31, 2002).
The specific schedule for FLET'SISDN availability in each locality will be announced on the company Web site and elsewhere.
