Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation (NTT East) has been offering M FLET'S Service on a trial basis since June 2002. Using wireless LAN technology, the service lets customers access the Internet from remote locations just as if they were at home, or to enjoy the convenience of remote access to their place of work.
Now that the trial service has come to a successful end, full service will be offered from January 2003, as notified today to the Minister of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications.
1. Service Overview
M FLET'S Service employs wireless LAN technology to provide customers of the other FLET'S Series Internet access services (B FLET'S, FLET'S ADSL, and FLET'SISDN) with a more personal and portable broadband IP environment.
Customers of M FLET'S Mate, aimed at wireless LAN users, are able to make use of the wireless LAN access spots provided by users of M FLET'S Host, taking advantage of highly secure wireless connections for Internet use and for remote access to their workplace or other location. |

Applicants for M FLET'S Service must be subscribed to one of the following FLET'S Series services: |
