FLET'SADSL Lineup Expanded

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation (NTT East) announces the launch of FLET'SADSL MORE service, meeting the desire of customers for even faster broadband access. The service is in addition to the currently offered FLET'SADSL 8M and 1.5M type services. Notification of the new service was made today to the Minister of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications.

1. Service Overview

NTT East already offers FLET'SADSL 1.5M and 8M type services. The new service, FLET'SADSL MORE, provides access to supporting Internet Service Providers (ISPs) at speeds up to 12 Mbps for downloads to the customer terminal and up to 1 Mbps for uploads, on a best-effort basis.

Customers signing up for the new service will be eligible for the Imadake Waribiki limited-time discount rate (Note 1) and MYLINE PLUS set discount rate. (Note 2)

2. Charges

* The charges shown are in addition to ISP fees.
Notes: 1. As with the 1.5M and 8M services, new customers who apply by Tuesday, December 31, 2002 are eligible for a special discount rate lasting three months, from the month following the start of service. Note that the MYLINE PLUS set discount is not applicable during the period the Imadake Waribiki discount is in effect.
2. Customers using FLET'SADSL on a fixed telephone line registered with NTT East for MYLINE PLUS service, for both local calls and intra-prefecture toll calls, are eligible for a 10 percent discount on FLET'SADSL service. This discount service is applicable to customers meeting the conditions for the MYLINE PLUS set discount from the initial day of their monthly billing cycle (differs per customer).
Customers using FLET'SADSL service on a dedicated line can take advantage of this discount by registering for MYLINE PLUS another line used for telephone service (analog or ISDN) on the same premises and under the same name, and having both FLET'SADSL service and the telephone service billed together on one invoice. This discount cannot overlap the Imadake Waribiki discount.
3. Not applicable if the customer purchases the modem, etc.
4. The charges shown are in addition to the basic monthly connection charge for analog service. Use of a shared line for analog telephone services is subject to the usual dialup charges.
