DIAL Q2

Information providers offer programs (fee-based services) for DIAL Q2, and information charges incurred by subscribers in the NTT East area are collected by NTT East on behalf of the information providers.

DIAL Q2

You can use your telephones for easy access to a variety of information. DIAL Q2 provides various types of programs including prerecorded information (news, economic information, etc.), information by fax, and online information services or Internet access via PCs.

Charges

DIAL Q2 charges consist of NTT East dialing charges and information charges which are set by information providers and vary by program.

How to use

  • Apply for password before using. (No charge for password application)
  • Dial the password after the program number

0990-5-*****

Can be used without password. However, password use is recommended to prevent unauthorized use by persons other than the subscriber.
Information charges By usage time (per 3 min.) \10.5 to \315 (12 levels)
(Internet connection programs are up to \94.5 and party lines up to \63)		 -
Per use \52.5 to \315 (6 levels)
  • DIAL Q2 cannot be used from public telephones as of January 23, 2002.

How to apply for password
Request a password application form (in Japanese only) in one of the following ways:

  • Dial 0120-364-463 (toll free) and request an application form.
  • Download from the DIAL Q2 website (in Japanese only):http://www.ntt-east.co.jp/q2/
  • Dial 0120-000-116 (toll free, in Japanese only) from a fax machine to obtain an application form by fax.
  • Follow the voice prompts (in Japanese only) and dial...
    1. [1]03 to have explanations sent by fax.
    2. [2]55 (DIAL Q2 password application form code number).
    3. [3]5 to have only DIAL Q2 password application form sent. Then, press the fax machine start button.

Return form

  • Post: Call 0120-364-463 (toll free) and ask for the return address before sending.
  • Fax: Send to 0120-700-133 (toll free).
  • Service counter: Hand in your form at an NTT East service counter.
  • Password application for the Password Genre can only be made by telephone line subscribers who are 18 years of age or older.

Measures for Trouble-Free Use
If you should experience any trouble...

  • To suspend collection of information charges, contact the billing inquiries telephone number on your bill etc. (toll free) before paying the bill or by the business day before the date of automatic bank transfer, and the billing will be suspended.
  • We will inform you of excessive charges prior to billing.

To avoid trouble...

  • You can request to block access to DIAL Q2 (restricted usage). No charges apply.
