Business Ether WIDE

SLA (Service Level Agreement)

System that provides refunds to customers using business network services if a certain level of line quality is not maintained.

Failure Recovery Time SLA

If the network service becomes completely unusable through no fault of the customer and the malfunction is not repaired within a specified period of time, a fixed rate charge will be returned in accordance with the failure recovery time.
The failure recovery time is less than 10 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour depending on the service contract.
The failure recovery time SLA does not require a new application or additional charges.

Failure Recovery Time Returned Charges
Between 10 minutes and 1 hour 30% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
Between 1 hour and 2 hours 40% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
Between 2 hours and 4 hours 50% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
Between 4 hours and 6 hours 60% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
Between 6 hours and 8 hours 70% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
Between 8 hours and 48 hours 80% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
More than 48 hours Total returnable amount (monthly charge)

Services with Failure Recovery Time SLA (less than 30 minutes)

  • *Does not apply to provisional contracts (including provisional contract subscribers to Business Ether Type V or Type SWL).
Failure Recovery Time Returned Charges
Between 30 minutes and 1 hour 3% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
Between 1 hour and 2 hours 10% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
Between 2 hours and 4 hours 20% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
Between 4 hours and 6 hours 30% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
Between 6 hours and 8 hours 40% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
Between 8 hours and 48 hours 50% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
More than 48 hours Total returnable amount (monthly charge)

Delay Time SLA

If the the average monthly delay time (*1) exceeds the standard value (10 ms or less for intra-prefecture, 35 ms or less for inter-prefecture), 3% of the returnable amount (monthly charge) (*2) for intra-prefecture, and 10% for inter-prefecture, will be returned to all customers with contracts for the applicable service.
The delay time SLA does not require a new application or additional charges.

Applicable Services

  • *Does not apply to provisional contracts (including provisional contract subscribers to Business Ether Type V or Type SWL) or Type S, Type F 64 kbit/s and 128 kbit/s services.

Applicable Scope of Delay Time SLA

  • *1:Delay Time: time required for an Ethernet frame to be sent between exchange equipment designated by NTT EAST.

Uptime SLA

If the service becomes completely unusable or degrades to an equivalent condition through no fault of the customer, and cannot be maintained at a service quality based on the average monthly uptime (99.99%), a portion of the returnable amount (monthly charge) (*3) for Business Ether will be returned at a fixed rate in accordance with the monthly average uptime.
The uptime SLA does not require a new application or additional charges.

Between 98.0% and 99.8% 3% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
Between 95.0% and 98.0% 10% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
Between 90.0% and 95.0% 20% of returnable amount (monthly charge)
Less than 90.0% Total returnable amount (monthly charge)
